best blondies recipe

Updated: Aug 31, 2019

I live for desserts!

Normally when I bake I alter recipes to make them healthier. I do this by replacing ingredients with healthier options. For example: I swap sugar for coconut sugar, butter for coconut oil etc...

When I do this it always tastes amazing! And I don't feel that guilty about eating the whole tray :')

But this time I stuck to exactly what the recipe called for and it was amazing!

I went all out with this dessert and had it with cookie dough ice cream. It was amazing! Soft in the middle, crunchy on the outside and it just melts in your mouth.

So here is the recipe !

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

2 cups brown sugar — packed

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 cups all purpose flour

2 cups mix-ins: toffee, chopped candy bars, M&Ms, chocolate chips, nuts, etc

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13” pan spray well with cooking spray.

Mix butter and brown sugar with a stand or a hand mixer until crumbly.

Mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth. Mix in salt, baking powder, then flour.

Spread in prepared pan.

Bake for about 22-25 minutes until they start to turn golden. They’ll finish baking as the cool and you don’t want them over baked!
