I have never had a skincare routine. I washed my face with soap and called it a day. As I get older, and get less sleep I found myself more intrigued about establishing a skin care routine. I also found a few wrinkles which was not a great moment for me to be honest.

However, there are so many skincare brands, products and ingredients it was all overwhelming. My friend introduced me to The Ordinary.

"The Ordinary, are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury, oxybenzone." There products are also cruelty free!

I ended up doing some research on there products as per what my areas of concerns were. I was basically starting from scratch, but The Ordinary made it so easy. When in store the associates gave me more information on the products and how they will help my skin.

Natural Moisturizing Factors +HA

This is a non-greasy, lightweight face cream that is perfect to hydrate your skin. I have been using this for about two months and I find the texture of my skin has improved so much. My skin feels so much smoother. Can't lie I never thought my skin was not smooth to begin with, but after I used this product I realized how much my skin needed to be hydrated.

Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

I get a few pimples, but my blackheads on my nose are so bad. I was talking to one of the associates at The Ordinary and she recommended this product. "What It Does This treatment exfoliates deep inside the walls of pores to fight acne, oily skin, and blemishes. It promotes smoother skin texture and visible clarity with regular use."

I noticed them disappearing with regular use. Although, the associate told me to use it every other day, or three days because it can dry out your skin. That is what I have been doing and it has definitely helped to make those nasty blackheads disappear.

Retinol 0.2% in Squalane

I want to bathe in this! It also smells great!

As I am sure everyone knows retinol helps with fine lines and wrinkles. After finding a few wrinkles I knew I needed this in my life.

I read multiple reviews on this product and could not find one bad review.

I was nervous using this because my skin is oily, but my skin is responding to it fine, no increase in zits. I apply this at night right before bed.

Caffeine Solution 5%+ EGCG

LOVE THIS! I see results instantly. This product is for your under eyes and those dark circles. It also helps with puffiness.

"This light-textured formula contains an extremely high 5% concentration of caffeine, supplemented with highly-purified Epigallocatechin Gallatyl Glucoside (EGCG) from green tea leaves".

I have insomnia and for a long time, especially recently my under eyes have been so bad, dark and puffy. I started using this in the morning, and my mom said my under eyes looked so much better and I looked well rested. I know I saw the results as well.

You can also apply this under your makeup. That is also something I do because lets be honest there is not enough concealer in the world to cover my dark circles.
