I know it should be a blog post on spring 2024 trends... its that time of the year. However, I am more focused on the longevity of my pieces and the versatility of them. Although, I do love to highlight a trendy piece, I have a few in my closet.
The Perfect Bag
That bag that works with every outfit. It elevates any look, and goes with everything you wear. It is an easy grab and go bag.
You know I have a crazy collection of bags. However, I do think it is a good idea to invest in a staple black bag, one that fits your lifestyle. It can be a tote bag or a cross-body.
I love a medium sized cross-body. It is easy to carry, you have your essentials in it and you can dress it up or down.
My two favourite designer bags at the moment are
YSL Casandra in embossed black
I love the material, the shape and the top handle. Its a great everyday bag that fits so much.
Chanel mini square flap
Love her as a everyday bag, or even just an evening out. She does just fit the basics, whereas the YSL fits a lot more.

Trousers for Comfort
Trousers that are lightweight fabric in a basic colour like tan or black are a must. You just look more put together without losing comfort. They are just as comfy as leggings but chicer.
Jewellery!!!
I am very into styling the look. Before I would wear an amazing look, but not add jewellery and the look would fall flat. This year I am really focusing on elevating my outfits in simple ways. One of those ways being adding jewellery.
Good basics really tie together a look. Even if I am just wearing sweats and leggings but I have some earrings on and a layered necklace it makes it all look like I put effort into my outfit. When really I have not.

Blazers
I used to wear a cardigan as a layer but now I wear a blazer. It just elevates the look a lot more. Basic tee and wide legged denim with a blazer, layered jewellery. That makes for a great look.

I recommend starting off with the basic colours. They go with everything you own and are easy to throw on.

I have so many shoes yet I wear the one pair every time. I think a heel is great, a loafer is great and flats are great. BUT we live in Canada the weather is wild, so I have really been having fun playing with boots, adding them into my looks.
Also, I am not trying to freeze or sacrifice my outfit!
