I went to Montreal for 4 days - The first day we (my aunt and I) got there at 3p.m. We had 2 full days in Montreal and then left early morning on the 4th day. I realized we could of done it all in 2 days! - I did however enjoy the longer stay.
How To Do Montreal in 2 Days:
PREPARATION
-pack in advance
-pack food, so if you are driving you can drive straight -we got to there in 5 1/2 hours
-pick a hotel located central to all the sites
DAY 1
-leave early! so you have the whole day in to do stuff. I recommend taking the 407 or an early flight.
- check in
- we did the Aires Libres however it was the last year that they are displaying this attraction so I recommend :
-go to Notre Dame Basilica, light a candle for well wishes
-the church is so close to Old Port and Old Montreal so...
- spend the entire day/night in Old Port and Old Montreal
-there is amazing restaurants, live music and boutiques to explore
DAY 2
-Botanical Garden, go early in the morning to avoid lines
-Olympic Stadium, is across the street from Botanical Garden's
-drive/cab to Mount Royal, this is a sight that you don't need to spend too much time at
- below Mount Royal there are a few great restaurants to enjoy before you head back home!
