funnel cake recipe

vegetable oil for frying

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

confectioner sugar for dusting





In a bowl combine all dry ingredients . In a separate bowl mix all the wet ingredients. Then combine both.


Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan on the oven top. Make sure it is hot! before putting the patter in.


Put the patter in a pipping bag or zip lock bag and cut the tip.


When the oil is hot swirl the batter in oil , wait for the bottom to get golden brown. Then flip, when the opposite side gets golden brown it is done.


Let the funnel cake cool for a few second, the dust it with confectioner sugar.
